If I had to pick, I’d say David Gray and Missy Higgins are my favorite musical artists.
But the thing that haunts me in my giant musical nerdom is I never saw Tom Petty in concert before he died. His music is in my soul in a way no other artist is, and I can’t explain it.
When the funk cover band Scary Pockets put up a version of “Free Fallin’” last week, I squealed a little, I’m not gonna lie.
As one of my kids said: this cover is an “instant mood booster.” Enjoy.
